An interdisciplinary circus show by one of the most outstanding creators of contemporary circus
Ahir is a show that dialogues with the past. An incision in the timeline that enables us to observe, stretch, freeze and transform it to the point of reinterpreting its continuity. A bold and poetic journey; sometimes raw, also fresh and always sincere. A space in which memories and imagination are confused. Ahir is a piece about all those people who at some time have pursued, in their past, an answer or a desire.
Animal Religion works to innovate in circus and seek new forms of expression. From the outset, its creations have shared a space in which light, body and music emerge simultaneously to create its own identity. This is the ninth production since the company’s foundation in 2012.
