Mal Pelo comes back to the TNC with a mixture of dance and Bach's classical music
ON GOLDBERG VARIATIONS / VARIATIONS is a multifocal work based on movement and the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
After presenting the show Bach by María Muñoz all over the world, and its transmission to Federica Porello, in this new creation Mal Pelo continues the search for a profound and dynamic language between a group of dancers and musicians to enter into dialogue with the music of J. S. Bach using tools shared during the process.
It is an adaptable and changing two-year project focused on the study of baroque counterpoint music and the relationship with movement, space and choreographic dramaturgy.
The music of this first production is the work Goldberg Variations / Variations, by the French-American musician Dan Tepfer, who combines J. S. Bach's Goldberg Variations with his variations improvised on the same harmonies.
