Epicentre Lluïsa Cunillé
Lluïsa Cunillé is currently one of the active voices with extensive experience in contemporary Catalan drama and with an enormous influence on some of the major young playwrights in our country.
The solidity of her incorruptible commitment to writing ‒ with special attention to the mechanics of representing the pain it entails ‒ has provided the backbone for a body of work that already comprises around fifty staged productions.
For this reason, the Teatre Nacional has decided to dedicate the 2017/2018 season epicentre to this prolific and fascinating playwright to publicise her production during the last decade, in which linguistic meticulousness that had characterised the ethical approach of her early pieces has been enriched with a work of great ideological lucidity on the construction of the characters and drama plots.
