An ironic and witty dance-theatre piece
When we look at the sky and marvel at the twinkling of the stars, admiring how the inexplicable cosmic disorder dances in harmony, and we speculate about the unknown − whether life exists in other galaxies, or how the universe might have no limits and still be expanding... −, we are like those retirees who, now that they have the time, use it by observing a work in progress, in the midst of the creative process. And while they speculate about its result, they contemplate and listen to the noise of entropy, and how everything is imperceptibly transformed.
However, if extra-terrestrial life does exist... If there is someone who has bothered to glance this way from afar, and has taken the time to contemplate our evolutionary process... If there is a superior intelligence beyond that has allowed itself to speculate about the meaning of our existence... of our mission (what on earth we are doing here)... it must perhaps unsettle them to see how we invest so much effort in building what seems to be our own tomb.
