This production is a very personal tribute to Lili Elbe, the first transgender person to undergo sex reassignment surgery in 1930. Lili, born in Denmark in the late 19th century, was a highly successful landscape painter. She died in 1931 after a uterine transplant in her desire to be a mother. In her latest creation, Marta Carrasco has sought to experiment with the most essential language, that of the gaze, managing to create the bond and complicity between Lili and her alter ego.
