Claudia
A production by La Conquesta del Pol Sud
A real testimony that speaks itself about desire for justice and the deep comprehension of the meaning of life.
Claudia Victoria Poblete Hlaczik lives in Buenos Aires, works as a systems engineer and is a science fiction fan. Claudia apparently lives a "normal" life. But, behind this appearance, a very uncommon background is concealed. This youth was educated in the values of a military environment and, at the age of 21, discovered that she was the daughter of parents who had "disappeared" and had lived an invented life with other "parents" who were not her own. Her case marked a turning point in Argentina, as it was the start of the end of impunity for the military commanders. Claudia's life experience ‒ told by herself ‒ is the raw material of this new piece of documentary theatre. We are interested in exploring the relations between the individual and the collective. How do individual lives and history interrelate? How is certain people's experience related to us? What is the meaning, in today's world, of words like revolution, memory and education?
