The Teatre Nacional de Catalunya was inaugurated in 1996, and its archive contains documentation of both in-house and external productions from its beginnings.

The TNC Archive includes various collections featuring recordings related to performances, stage photographs, rehearsals, portraits, events, theatre programmes, posters, invitations, press kits, news articles, and other promotional materials.

The TNC Archive is integrated into the Escena Digital de Catalunya platform, promoted by the Institut del Teatre and the Documentation Centre and Museum of Performing Arts, which allows users to delve into the theatrical legacy of the country through thousands of documents.
