The Consorci del Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, a public sector body of the Generalitat de Catalunya, is committed to making its websites and mobile applications accessible, in accordance with Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September, on the accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications (hereinafter, Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September), which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This website is partially compliant with Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September, due to the exceptions and non-conformities listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
a) Non-compliance with Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September:
- 1.1.1 Non-text Content: Some images inserted through the content management system (CMS) may lack adequate alternative text.
- 1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded) and 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded): Some prerecorded multimedia content may lack captions or audio description.
- 1.3.1 Info and Relationships: On some pages with editor-created content, the heading hierarchy may not be fully sequential.
- 1.4.4 Resize Text: Some font sizes are defined in pixels rather than relative units (rem), which may limit text scaling in certain browsers.
b) Disproportionate burden: not applicable.
c) Content not within the scope of the applicable legislation:
There may be office files in PDF or other formats published before 20 September 2018 that do not fully meet all accessibility requirements.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 07/04/2026.
The method used to prepare the statement was a comprehensive technical audit carried out by Kiwop, web accessibility audit, which included:
- Manual review of 188 templates, stylesheets and JavaScript code in the theme.
- Automated testing with axe-core 4.9.1 across 7 representative pages.
- Functional verification with Playwright and screen readers.
- Analysis of heading structure, landmarks and colour contrast.
The audit, conducted in March 2026, identified and resolved over 25 accessibility issues across 6 iterative passes, covering WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria in accordance with standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1. The new criteria introduced in WCAG 2.2 were specifically verified, including 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured, 2.5.7 Dragging Movements, 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum), 3.2.6 Consistent Help, 3.3.7 Redundant Entry and 3.3.8 Accessible Authentication.

Requests for accessible information and complaints
To submit requests for accessible information and complaints (Article 12 of Royal Decree 1112/2018), access the procedure "Continguts accessibles al web" and follow the option "Sol·licitar informació accessible o fer una queixa".
Any natural or legal person may file complaints regarding compliance with the requirements of Royal Decree 1112/2018 and request information relating to content excluded from the scope of this regulation.
Requests and complaints are registered in accordance with the requirements established by Law 39/2015 of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations.
Enforcement procedure
The enforcement procedure set out in Article 13 of Royal Decree 1112/2018 can be initiated through the procedure "Continguts accessibles al web" via the option "Reclamar una sol·licitud".
If, after submitting a request for accessible information or a complaint, it has been rejected, you disagree with the decision taken, or the response does not meet the requirements of Article 12.5 of RD 1112/2018, you may initiate a claim to:
- know and contest the grounds for rejection;
- urge the adoption of appropriate measures if you disagree with the decision taken;
- set out the reasons why you consider that the response does not meet the required standards.
A claim may also be initiated if 20 working days have elapsed without receiving a response.
