Requests for accessible information and complaints

To request accessible information or submit complaints (Article 12 of Royal Decree 1112/2018), you must access the procedure "Accessible content on the web" and select the option "Request accessible information or file a complaint".

Any individual or legal entity may submit complaints regarding compliance with Royal Decree 1112/2018 and request information about content excluded from its scope.

Requests and complaints will be registered in accordance with the provisions of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations.

 

Enforcement procedure

The enforcement procedure established in Article 13 of Royal Decree 1112/2018 can be initiated through the procedure "Accessible content on the web" by selecting the option "Appeal a request".

If a request for accessible information or a complaint has been rejected, or if the response is unsatisfactory or fails to meet the requirements of Article 12.5 of RD 1112/2018, a formal appeal may be lodged in order to:

  • Understand and contest the reasons for the rejection;
  • Request appropriate measures if the response is not acceptable;
  • Explain why the response does not meet the required standards.

An appeal may also be submitted if no response has been received within 20 working days.
