Àngel Llàcer directs a classic that invites us to live life

We submerge ourselves in the life of a wealthy family from Yorkshire, the Conways, during the interwar period.

It is the year 1919 and Kay, one of the daughters, is celebrating her birthday. During this celebration, and through a peculiar use of time, Priestley shows us how the members of this well-off English family with great expectations in life will not achieve any of these aspirations.

Thirty years ago Mario Gas, my great master, opened for us the doors of the house of the Conways in a staging still remembered by many generations. J. B. Priestley needs two decades to tells us what happens in this family, how the passage of time inexorably changes the lives of people.

Two decades after originally working with my other great master, Carme Portaceli, time has made her the one who opens the doors of the Sala Gran to me to return the Conway family to the stage, to enter their home again, and discover together how these years have changed them.

A show full of life, love, dreams and frustrations. Like theatre.

Perhaps past, present and future do exist at the same time.
