Amanda T is a play that fictionalises the tragic story of Amanda Todd, the young Canadian who at the age of 15 committed suicide after announcing her reasons on the internet. After this event there were other similar cases on which the work is also based. Harassment, spite, the need for recognition or solitude are themes that feed the story. In the final scenes, the presenter of a sensationalist show will seek out the real motives and guilty parties of this event.
Despite the portrayal of a false society and cruel system, Amanda T also seeks to reflect on the paradox and absurd, sometimes even comical, friction of the need for visibility and success on the social networks.
