Arlequí Project

Arlequí Project

The TNC's Educational and Social Service has devised a new proposal to bring the performing arts closer to middle-cycle primary school children in an experiential, participatory way.

The proposal consists of:

  • Five creative play sessions (at the schools): each class group will work on a specific theatrical language guided by a professional who will accompany the group weekly. During these sessions, the children will experience the language's technique, explore its expressive possibilities and take part in creative activities.
  • A day at the TNC: the project concludes with a day at the TNC organised in two parts:
    • Playful activities to experiment with the various stage languages and to share the experience with children from the other schools.
    • A performance in which they will be able to identify the different stage languages worked on earlier. They will enjoy the creative possibilities that arise from combining four theatrical languages and discover that theatre goes beyond simply speaking a text.
