Authors, musicians and actors from a country devastated by economic and political crisis who struggle to practice their art despite censorship
We want to discover what happens theatrically in one of the most culturally active countries in the Mediterranean: Lebanon. So, for one week, the TNC will become the home of Lebanon with Barcelona calling Beirut.
The guest companies and artists will include: the Zoukak Theater Company, a group dedicated to the most social and political theatre that seeks collective reflection as a weapon against marginalisation; Chrystele Khodr, a performer who disagrees with the idyllic interpretation of the national model; and Hannane Hajj Ali, an iconoclastic artist who will tell the story of four women from the Arab world who refuse to follow the stereotypes for which they have been brought up.
A project that we hope to repeat in the future with a focus on Palestine and Egypt.
