In a luxurious hotel room in Leeds, a 21-year-old woman meets her old lover, who has a serious lung disease. The youth will put up with the abuses of the man who is twice her age, until the weight of violence ends up shattering the intimacy of the room. 

When Sarah Kane premiered Blasted, its surprising impact on British society soon made the play one of the most emblematic theatre milestones of the 20th century. Time has only reasserted the extraordinary literary quality of this dramatic piece, which fully maintains its capacity to force the limits of the stage to speak to us.
