Dissection d'une chute de neige
In the exercise of power, being a woman is a crime
The renowned stage director Christophe Rauck presents this theatre production based on the novel of the same name by Sara Stridsberg about the search for a modern heroine.
The Royal Court of Stockholm, 1631. To claim to the throne, Queen Christina of Sweden, "King's Daughter", must marry her designated suitor. But she sets her mind against it. Stubbornly. Lucid and cultured, she refuses to bow to the demands of power and society’s gender norms. A philosopher, a ghostly king, a distant mother and a lover gravitate around her. Confined to a large transparent box that is both refuge and prison, Christina bangs against the glass walls like a caged bird as she struggles to control the reins of her destiny.
In this snow-covered court, will Christina be able to rule alone?
