It is cold, but Erik prefers to leave the windows open during the visit by his father, who has turned up at his son's home for an indefinite time although their relationship has clearly cooled down since his mother died. Their scars are visible but not the depth of their wounds. Any strange presence can stir up the latent violence of this broken family unit.
The Swede Lars Norén is one of the most outstanding voices in European theatre. Highly autobiographical, his plays explore the most secluded areas of human relationships in our society.
