Jambo Bwana

Jambo Bwana

A story of friendship and overcoming adversity

Three lifelong female friends reunite before Christmas to spend a weekend together. One of them desires revenge for a recent assault, which will push the others to unexpected limits. In an atmosphere full of anger and dark humour, all three decide to take control of their lives and take revenge on the men who have hurt them.

An exploration of sisterhood, gender violence and the desire for freedom in the midst of a dehumanised world.

To my friend from Gambia, Samba, who was eaten by a tree.
