La Tempesta
- A partir de William Shakespeare
- Version and direction Roberto García
- Sala Petita
- 09/11/23 al 12/11/23
A playful Shakespeare with a far from innocent look at the human condition
Prospero, the main character of La Tempesta, studies the behaviour of people shipwrecked on his island as if they were laboratory rats. In the end, he asks the audience for the applause that will free him from the fiction that in some way created him. Thus, Prospero knows that he is the observer observed.
With permanent irony and an apparently light touch, Shakespeare's La Tempesta portrays human relationships in a completely metatheatrical artefact that is also a revealing and transformative journey.
The playwright and theatre director Roberto García presents a bold and visually surprising version of the classic with a cast headed by the great Valencian actress Teresa Lozano.
