The great work of Josep Anselm Clavé triggered Catalan modern culture, the new forms of leisure in an incipient mass society and even the system of essential tensions that have been the backbone of our political life for over 150 years.
Coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and the 15th anniversary of the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), the Polish conductor Wanda Pitrowska returns to the stage of the Sala Gran to reinterpret with her unpredictable baton the earliest existing zarzuela in Catalan, taken from the archives for the occasion.
