Marilia Samper

Theatre Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1974, Marilia Samper had a nomadic childhood. Finally settled in Seville, she studied acting and worked for different companies. In 2001 she arrived in Barcelona and registered for the degree in stage direction and dramaturgy at the Institut del Teatre. Her most outstanding works are 405 (runner up for the Miguel Romero Esteo Prize and the 2001 Marqués de Bradomín National Prize), Menú del día (runner up for the 2002 Marqués de Bradomín National Prize), Un verdadero cowboy (2006 Ciutat de València Prize for theatre in Spanish and the Carlos Carvalho Playwriting Prize in Porto Alegre, Brazil) and Pleasure and Pain (F3dra) (Sala Beckett, 2011).
