Medusa
Based on the novel by R. Menéndez Salmón
A photographer's trip who portraiting the shames of an Europe under construction in a poetic and heartbreaking production winner of the Quim Masó prize 2016.
La Virgueria and Pablo Ley adapt the novel of the same name by Menéndez Salmón about the filmmaker, photographer and painter Karl Gustav Friedrich Prohaska, a privileged observer of 20th century atrocities. The approach to this artist poses two questions: can we live without ideology? Can we look without impunity?
A dizzying tracking shot, in time and space, that explores not only the bowels of the ferocious 20th century, whose cruelty Prohaska insists on portraying, but also the complete map of human shame.
