Antoni Marí (Ibiza, 1941) is professor of Theory of Art at Pompeu Fabra University. He has published the poetry books El preludi and Un viatge d’hivern (National Critics’ Prize, 1989); the essays L’home de geni and Formes de l’individualisme (Crítica Serra d’Or prizes, 1984 and 1994); La voluntat expressiva (Generalitat de Catalunya National Prize); El camí de Vincennes, the book of short stories El vas de plata (Ciutat de Barcelona Prize) and the German Romanticism anthology El entusiasmo y la quietud.
