The historic Valencia company Moma Teatre explores Chekov's classic on lost opportunities, a key play in the conception of our cultural identity because of the ethical strength with which it reconsiders the often anguished view of the passage of time in modern life.
With his characteristic pathetic humour, Chekov shows the vestiges of what is not said and done; what is dreamt and desired that has not come to pass but remains chiselled in the face and sculptured in the body, and surfaces in gestures. The silent movement of the soul.
