Variacions

From Desig, by Josep Maria Benet i Jornet

In the new management’s artistic project, the collaborative ties with European theatres are a priority. Through agreements, the Variacions project aims to establish links with European drama schools for directors from other countries to work with Catalan drama students to produce a version of one of the season’s plays. Thus, on this occasion, the French director Jade Maignan will interpret Desig, by Josep Maria Benet i Jornet, and bring it to the stage with the same set design with young IT graduates (Escola superior d’art dramàtic). This exchange will be reciprocal and Catalan directors will also reinterpret a play running in one of the theatres that are part of the agreement.
