Max Frisch
In a society where appearance is the basis of social relations, Max Frisch talks about delusion and identity
Max Frisch is one of the most notable playwrights and writers in German-language literature of the post-World War II period. His works explore identity, individualism, responsibility and political and social commitment.
Andri is the illegitimate son of a purebred Andorran who is led to believe that he is an adopted Jew. When things start to get difficult, they tell him the truth. But even after learning about his true origin, everyone will cling to prejudices and his false Jewish identity.
