DOUBLE INFINITE. The Bluebird Call

The search for identity through imagination and the body

With a 35-year history behind them which has established them as one of the benchmarks of dance in our country, Pep Ramis and María Muñoz come together for a rare meeting on the stage with this duet.

Double Infinite is a piece made from fragility, simplicity and love for a craft that poses questions about identity, the individual or the body.

An almost empty space where mutability becomes apparent through lighting, sound and objects. A thorough piece about detail, the precision of gesture, and the rhythm and intensity of movement.

Double Infinite envisages the need to imagine and pursue impossible realities, to build a fiction that reveals the importance of inventing a future and projecting it beyond the foreseeable.

The search for alternatives to the reality surrounding us emerges out of the urge to dissolve what we perceive as real and to allow ourselves the possibility of rebelling against what seems unmovable, against the structures that shape us as individuals and as a society.

The body is the tool with which we can write and design fictions that challenge and dislocate us. The body and movement contain internal codes that distance themselves from structured and sequential ideas. We are speaking of infinitely more naked, dizzier and more revealing codes than those of the driving forces of our habitat, of our world.
