Una vella, coneguda olor
Josep Maria Benet i Jornet
Theatre«Oh, que bé que tirin el barri! Que bé!» Josep M. Benet i Jornet wrote Una vella, coneguda olor in 1962, at the age of twenty-two. It is set in the proletarian Barcelona of the time, a city of interior courtyards, of changes and concerns, personalised in Maria, the play’s lead character, a young girl submerged in a private but universal conflict. A story steeped in memories, melodies and smells from another era whose palpitations we still feel, directed by Sergi Belbel and featuring an outstanding cast that unite two different generations.
